Gastric ballooning is a non-surgical weight loss procedure, which means that no surgery under general anesthesia is necessary. A soft, stretchy balloon is inserted endoscopically into the stomach or even just by swallowing. The gastric balloon is then filled with a sterile saline solution or air.
